Lynn Conway
林恩·康威
Revolutionized VLSI Chip Design
Biography
Lynn Conway revolutionized microchip design through her work on VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) technology at Xerox PARC. The Mead-Conway approach she co-developed democratized chip design, enabling thousands of engineers to create custom chips. She also made key contributions to superscalar architecture at IBM. Conway is recognized both for her technical achievements and as a transgender pioneer who rebuilt her career after being fired from IBM in 1968.
