Shafi Goldwasser

Biography

Shafi Goldwasser co-invented probabilistic encryption and zero-knowledge proofs, two cornerstones of modern cryptography. Her work laid the mathematical foundations for secure digital communication. She received the Turing Award in 2012, becoming only the third woman to receive the honor, alongside two Gödel Prizes and numerous other accolades.
