Biography

Jane Goodall revolutionized our understanding of primates through her 60-year study of chimpanzees in Gombe, Tanzania. She was the first to observe that chimpanzees make and use tools — a discovery that blurred the line between humans and other animals. Without a college degree when she began, she earned her PhD from Cambridge and became one of the most influential scientists and conservationists in history.
